One does not simply go to a conference

 I was very pleased to attend the Australian Disability Service Conference on the Gold Coast yesterday. It was an incredible collection of amazing human beings working to make life better for people with disability.

In 2003 I was diagnosed with an ‘inoperable’ brain tumour. It was a devastating blow to our family. We had 4 small children, the youngest was 5 years old.

Taking a step back

This was was in Facebook feed this morning and caught my eye. I noticed that a lot of women were 'loving' and 'liking' it. I wonder if their perspective would change if they took the word women out of it and applied it to people. So I have re written it here...
